NWR: anyone own a hybrid?

NWR: anyone own a hybrid?

Can you rave about yours, please? (or rant?)

I drive a Santa Fe, and I'm ALWAYS at the gas pump. I can't take it anymore. It's a 2005, and I'm thinking of trading it in. Anyone know how that works when I'm still in the middle of financing it?

I was looking at the Honda Civic Hybrids. 51mpg!!!

Any info would be appreciated!

Thank you!

they 'pay off' what you owe and you still owe it...like, if you trade for a honda, honda pays hyundai for your santa fe and you pay honda for your santa fe and the honda. when i was in high school, my first car DIED and we still owed like $1100 on it, so they tacked it on to the new loan for the car we traded it for.

you might honestly be better off selling it for a little over the pay off (so that you have some $ for a down payment) or selling it to someone at the payoff/take over payments so that you don't owe for both.

i haven't heard any great raves (but i haven't heard complaints really either) from friends and family with hybrids, they tend to lack the pep of a regular car...but you can use the HOV lane with one person (and of course, spend less on gas).

thank you... my Santa Fe has no pep anyway, so I wouldn't really miss that (even though I LOVE pep! in my car!)

I wonder if I go to my same dealership - but different car manufacturer - what would happen? Hmmmm...
