I am covering a Kindergarten class for a few days.
I am kind of looking for a general flow of the day.
Some lesson ideas. I know nothing about the school or class.
I could have lessons sitiing there for me, but that is usually not the case..
Can anyone help????
Thanks

Re: NWR: Anyone teach kindergarten???
I would say they probably start the day by getting unpacked, handing in notes from home, lunch count, etc...maybe have some morning work or sit and look through books.
They probably do a morning meeting (calendar, weather, days of the week, 100 days chart, counting by 5's, 10'[s, etc..)
Then read-aloud or shared reading / poem on chart paper. Look for high frequency words, rhyming words
Then maybe some handwriting practice or interactive writing
They might also do centers for about 45 minutes to an hour.
Lunch/Special
Afternoon might be another shared reading/read aloud.
Maybe some seasonal project (Thanksgiving/Fall)
Pack up/Free time at the end of the day
HTH!
