My brother in law rescued a female cocker spaniel yesterday from a co-worker's apt. He had driven the guy home and saw he was keeping a dog tied up most of the time, and in his one-room apt with no windows the rest of the time, and asked to take it. He agreed and now my sister and BIL have a dog they really can't keep. (They already have two and may be moving soon.)
The dog is about 1 year old (not 100% sure) and is named Princess. She is very, very sweet and got along great with my sister's two puggles (who don't always get along with other dogs and are very energetic). My BIL gave her a bath yesterday, a haircut and cut off the matted hair she had underneath her, on her belly, and she didn't cry, bark or wimper at all. She is a really a good dog from what we can see.
She is not spayed and seems to be on her way to being housetrained but is not there yet.
If anyone is interested, please FM me. I won't be home tonight but will check LIW first thing tomorrow. No pics yet (my sister's computer is broken) but possibly tomorrow I will have one. My sister and BIL live in Levittown and I am sure she would more than willing to show the dog to anyone interested (although tomorrow is her bday so it would have to be Monday or later).

my sisteres fiances brother wants a cockerspaniel. How can we contact you to see it if interested and how much are you charging?

I am BEYOND SICK that someone would treat her like that!! How dare he!!! The should tie up him all day.
Makes me disgusted just thinking about it!!
I hope and pray she finds a loving home!!! (I have 2 cocker spaniels myself, otherwise I would take her home!!)

I cannot believe there are people out there that treat animals that way! I hope he gets his in the end! I would love to help, but as it is we have a zoo here ourselves. I'll keep myears open, and if I hear of anyone looking, I'll let ya know.

awww that is so horrible, i cant believe some people can be that cruel.
Let me know if nobody takes her soon. I see you have 1 person interested. Ill ask one of my friends, they love dogs. If not i feel so horrible that i might take her...i cant have dogs in my apartment though but maybe i can get away with it, otherwise i would've jumped at the opportunity. Hope you find her a good home and keep us updated

She is adorable!! And her name goes so perfectly. Too bad i wish I could take her. My bulldog Chunk is enough to handle right now.

omg..she is sooo adorable!!!! how could anybody do that? i would love to take her.. but we have 2 hugs dogs and 4 cats already... but i will ask around!!!!!!! i know a lot of people who do rescues and may have some contacts who are interested. I'll ask around. A good friend of mine works with Huntington Animal Shelter and maybe someone there is looking for a Spaniel.
She's a cutie! I cannot believe how people treat animals.
