Just wondering what it is like to work there. I have a job interview with them this week.
My dad was just laid off from Nikon. He was there for 10 years and he was one of the best but they just told him they didn't need him anymore. Unfortunately for them he was the guy that everyone went to for help. He helped design their new warehouse system and won a contest for saving the company millions of dollars. Instead of getting rid of dead weight like the woman who stole things from my father's desk they got rid of him. 2 years prior they got rid of someone he used to carpool with 2 months before he would have hit his 5 years..... so he didn't qualify for any separation pay. When my dad first started they got rid of his supervisor who worked there for a while and had 8 children to support just because he made too much. Because they cut my dad they never called FH for a job interview. Basically once you make too much, you're gone. Out of curiosity, what position are you interviewing for? Because they only told my father 4 weeks ago that he was done.
Sorry to hear about what happened to your father. 10yrs is a long time to work at the same place. He must have enjoyed it most of the time to stay for so long. The position I am interviewing for was originally posted months ago, taken down for a while and then recently reposted.
