Crashing...

My FH and I have been looking here and there. I live in Brooklyn, he lives in New Hyde Park. We opted to move to Queens or close in Nassau.

In Queens, good neighborhoods are:Maspeth, Forest Hills, Astoria, Middle Village (I want to look here, beautiful), some parts of Ridgewood...forgive me if I didn't list many, my mind is drawing a blank.

Nassau: Franklin Square, New Hyde Park (my fav), Garden City, Mineola. These are the few we are keeping on our list.

The rents varies on what you are looking for. As most girls mentioned a studio is VERY small for two people. A one bedroom is sufficient and ideal so you both have some space. I've seen rents from $800-1400 a month, it all depends on what you are looking for. We started out wanted to rent a 1 one bedroom, and then we decided we will be buying a coop instead. The monthly payment is a little bit more, but when we are ready and Godwilling able to sell the coop it will be used for the down payment of a house.

I use to work in real estate for about 8 years, and I am very knowledable about a lot different programs, and advice if you need it. You can always FM me for help =)

Good luck!!
