Been MIA for a while. Found out I got a new job in Manhasset so FH and are looking for an apartment in N.Shore Nassau-- Glen Cove, Oyster Bay, Hicksville, Woodbury..etc, etc., etc.!
On a tight budget-- hope we find something, not too many rentals out there.
Any advice? =)

Aww I live in Manhasset. I don't know much about the areas you mentioned, but wanted to say that there are a LOT of gorgeous apartments in Great Neck (5 minutes away form Manhasset) It's a really nice little town, lots of shops and a 20 minute train ride into the city.
When apartment shopping, keep an open mind. Only really stick to your guns on 1 or 2 'MUSTS'. No apartment is perfect. If you need a dishwasher and 2 bathrooms, you might have to sacrifice something else, you know? Be open to everything you see! Also, go see places you don't expect to like. We randomly walked into an open house unplanned and we ended up buying the place.
Good luck!!

I work in Manhasset. I'm currently Co-Op shopping. I know it's cheaper when you go to Community Drive. I saw a listing for a house rental on Community Drive near the hospital for 1,900.
Are you looking at Mineola too? It's pretty close.

Have you tried craigslist? I always look at only ones that have pics.

Have you tried looking on mlsli.com? You might have to pay a broker fee if you find a rental through them, but I have found that they have better options listed.
