NWR - apartments

FH's lease is up at the end of Feb, so we would need to have a new apt to move into on Mar.1
FH and I are arguing about when a good time to start looking. I do not have any experience in this matter, and he doesn't have much either.
What do you ladies think?

WELL, I WAS DOING SOME 'APARTMENT' RESEARCH FOR MY BEST FRIEND THIS WEEKEND, AND THAT WAS DECEMBER 26...I FOUND APARTMENTS AVAILABLE AS EARLY AS JANUARY 15, AND AS LATE AS FEBRUARY 15 ON CRAIGSLIST.ORG

IT DOESN'T HURT TO LOOK NOW AND SEE...THE EARLIER THE BETTER.

it depends- if it's building you want to live in- then you can start in mid Jan- b/c they will know what will be available

if it's in a house- ususally a month before

We just started looking and we want to move in April 1st. It's early, but we are trying to figure out where we want to go.

I would start right after the new year..that way you have to find the right place for you guys and you are not feeling rushed

depending on your budget, and what county you are in...it could take forever...it took FH almost three months to find an apt that was in the price range we were looking for...but we also have a cat and two cars which adds to the difficulty
