Hello fellow brides!! My FH and I are looking to move out by March/April 2014 next year. We both live in East Islip (work out of West Islip). We would be fine living anywhere from Sayville-Babylon in between. We looked at a Fairfield yesterday really liked it although rent is high. Anyone rent in Fairfields? good/bad? or any other complexes? Thank you!

I'm sorry I don't have info for you, but I would also like to know this. FH and I are scheduling an appointment to look at a Fairfield property in Nassau.
Which Fairfield did you look in? FH and I love Sunrise Gardens in Bohemia. The rent is a little on the high side, but you have a gym, laundry room, pool, and a porch or a balcony. Everyone is nice there.

Re: NWR: Apartments
I live in a Fairfield in Selden and my sister, BIL and my niece and nephew live in the Fairfield in Farmingville and my BIL is the super there. I would have to say that Fairfield is great! They have all the amenities you need and the staff (at least my BIL and our super here) are on top of stuff. Any time I have had an issue such as a clogged sink, they have been prompt and very sweet. There are obvious annoyances living in an apartment complex such as the guy upstairs smokes and sometimes I feel like I smell it. Overall, it is apartment living so their are pros and cons but Fairfield in itself is a very up and up property. There are a TON of Fairfield properties out there so you have to do your research. The one we are in provides gas, heat, hot water in the rent which was a big draw for us where as others don't. We also have central air/heat where some complexes have units. I would have LOVED to have a washer/dryer in unit but that was sooo expensive but we have a laundry center on site here. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thats where I looked! They were very nice. The junior one bedroom is do-able but the regular one bedroom is just so much roomier but for the price! I am torn - do u live there?

FH and I looked at Fairfield and I just felt like they wanted wayyyy to much money. Im glad we held out because we actually found a house to rent for $400 cheaper per month.

The prices change depending on the market. Visit the websites and see or try and give them a call.

They aren't cheap over there. My sis in law used to live in there. It's gated, u get a lot if amenities too. There are places that are less then them like heather wood on sunrise ( that used to be spruce pond) and southern meadows in bayport.

We live in the regular one bedroom and we LOVE the ridiculous amount of space we have. For us, it's worth the price.
We did also look at Saddle Rock. The 1 BR was smaller, but rent was cheaper and there was a washer and dryer in the unit. This was a year and a half ago, so I'm not sure how much it is there now. They also have a movie theater for residents on-site, which is pretty cool! In the end though, we fell in love with Sunrise Gardens and the spacious apartment.
