So we are having some people over our apartment for my bday in a few weeks. I want to do a cocktail party and have a bunch of appetizers for my guests. I am NOT much of a cook lol...but I am willing to give it a try. I am definitely going to have cheese/crackers, veggies/dip, shrimp cocktail...that sort of thing...does anyone have any other ideas? Or some recipes for some easy appetizers I could make? Thanks so much!

Here's a few:
-Knorr's Spinach dip in a bread bowl
-Sesame Seed Bread Sticks, spread cream cheese on them and then wrap a piece of Salami over the cream cheese (sounds weird but soooo yummy)
-If you have a crock pot a good cheese dip is 1 lb. of ground beef or turkey, i jar of salsa and i block of velveeta. Cut up the velveeta into cubes and put in crock pot on high. While the cheese is melting brown the meat. Once that is done add it to the cheese. Once the cheese has melted then add the jar of salsa. Put the crock pot on low and servie with Frito Scoops. Leave dip in crock pot because it needs to stay hot.

I usually go to stop n shop and get the horsdevers (stop n shop brand) they're usually 2 for 5, and you throw them in the oven. They taste pretty good!

Here's a Giada app I've been dying to have an opportunity to make:
Gorgonzola and Honey Crostini
Take a crusty slice of bread, like a baguette, pop in oven to toast with some gorgonzola crumbles, not melted though. Drizzle some honey on it when they come out, and the recipe calls for an optional fig slice, but I will probably use a dried apricot whenever I do get around to trying it lol. Can't get easier than that!

Crashing......
Pigs in a blanket (I like to get fat free hot dogs, cut them up into mini pieces, then use reduced fat crescent rolls and roll up the hot dog pieces in that. But you can also buy the pre-frozen ones).
Mini quiches
Spinach dip
Mini tacos (tostitos scoops each with a small spoonful of taco meat, cheese, salsa and sourcream)
Pizza bagels
Pizza rolls
Stromboli bites
Baked clams
Clam dip
Crab dip

Buffalo chicken dip is so easy to make and awesome. you can serve it with tostitos or pita chips with celery and carrot stick on the side. FM if you want the recipe.
I also make a great baked brie which is very easy to make. you just need a brie wheel, puff pastry sheet, brown sugar, dried cherries or cranberries and sliced almonds....slice the wheel in 1/2, put the fruit, sugar and nuts in there then place the other top of the brie on top of that and wrap it in puff pastry, wash it with an egg and bake it in the oven until brown! so good.
Or you can take sesame sticks, wrap them in bacon, sprinkle grated cheese on them and broil them in the oven until done.
Stuffed mushrooms with sausage.....
Or you can make grapes 'wrapped' in cream cheese with gorgonzola or goat cheese...perfect bite with a glass of wine. mix softened cream cheese with either goat or gorgonzola cheese. place the red grape in the palm of your hand and roll the cheese mixture around it to form a ball. roll it around chopped walnuts for a coating and then place it in the fridge to set.
If you want the exact measurements then FM and i will share :o) As you can see, I like to cook.
