NWR: Assignment for school- writing a book.

I have to write and illustrate a book. The teacher didn't say the illustration had to be great, which works out for me because I can't draw. My question is does anyone know a creative way of putting the book together? I don't want to just staple pages together. I want it to at least look like a book even if I can't draw. Any ideas would be great. Thank you so much.

you can put it together and have kinkos bind it for you.

check this out, they can make it a sprial book for you...

or they might be able to bind it in some other way if you want it to be different...

****i just looked closer at that web page, click on 'binding and finishing services' and it says they can make books.

What if you went to Michael's or AC Moore and bought a cheap scrapbook? You could buy scrapbooking materials so the illustrations look better than what you can draw (not that you're a horrible artist)

try staples- they will bind it for you and they are pretty inexpensive.

I kinda had to do the same thing a couple of years ago for a children's literature class. What i did was took the thick oak tag and cut it to the size I wanted for the book. I then wrapped it in pretty wallpaper we had left. Cut to large holes for shoestring and tied it together. But it looked really pretty and i got an A+

Assuming its a childrens book? I had an assignment like this in college and made the book in a shape of a goose, the book was called, 'My Two Geese'... It went over very well!

my students made their own books this year and we binded them ourselves. Here are the steps:
1. Cut out heavy paper (oak tag or cardboard - we used folders) to the size you want.
2. Punch 3 holes in the contents of the book.
3. Lace the holes (Middle, bottom, middle, top then tie)
4. Cover the heavy paper with decorative paper.
5. Glue the first and last pages of the book (we put and extra page on teh top and bottom) to the cover and you're done
