NWR: Atlantic City

Hi Ladies,
Taking a much- needed two day trip to Atlantic City with my girls. I've never been and was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations. We have a hotel and will be going to a spa at the Borgata, but so far that is all we have. Are there specific casinos worth seeing? We are foodies so also wondering about places for dinner. Also looking for a nice/cute place for breakfast. We are obviously driving from LI to AC, so also wondering about any fun/worthwhile places to stop along the way. I know I'm asking for a lot, but I'm a planner and don't know where to start because I've never been!

Thanks :)

Hi,

Try Carmines Restaurant. They have a website where you can make reservations. Be sure to click on the AC restaurant because they have two others in NYC.

Great food - large servings.

I've not been at the Borgata but its supposed to be really busy with a younger crowd. They also have much better concerts there than the other casinos. You might want to check out what shows are playing when you go there.

Borgata is not located on the boardwalk so if you want to visit the majority of the other casinos you'll have to take a shuttle or taxi over there or drive over, but then pay for parking if you don't have a card. There is ' outlet shopping ' right outside the casinos behind ballys/caesars area.

Caesars has high end shopping at 'The Pier' if you want to go to tiffanys. LV, Gucci, burberry etc.

They have restaurants on the third floor of The Pier, like Buddakhan. I haven't been to that restaurant in years but from what I remember the food was pretty good.

Tropicana has an Imax theater there. There is a 'mall' there so there are a bunch of restaurants and shops there. Lots of families stay there.

Caesars has a club called Dusk, but if you're at borgata, they might have a better club there? I'm not sure.

Harrah's is supposed to have a nice swimming pool area I think, but again, haven't been in there.

If you want to just take a leisure walk, probably just walk down and see the majority of the casinos on the boardwalk.

I don't think there is anything worth seeing on the way down to atlantic city imo but if you go further down, apparently cape may is a nice sea side town.

Borgata looks massive in comparison to the other casinos in AC. Its supposed to be nice. The other casinos are much older, they're always updating decor but borgata is one of the newest if not the newest there.

Have fun!

MurMur in the Borgata is a lot of fun. Walking on the boardwalk is a great time as well. They have a bunch of shops that are open in the summer. There's also a beach bar, it's a bar down on the beach, it's pretty cool.

The mall is nice, they have a lot of shops in there & the food on the 3rd floor is good. There's a lot of windows so it overlooks the entire beach.

Borgata and Harrah's is off the boardwalk but it's only about a 5-7 min drive over to the beach. Borgata has good restaurants but sometimes only certain ones are open on certain days. Bobbie Fly steakhouse was pretty good. There's an italian restaurant in the Borgata which I hear is great.

Harrah's has a good buffet, I was there once.

They also have outlet stores. As soon as you get off the Atlantic City Expressway you'll see all the stores they have.

Hope you guys have fun, I'm super jealous.

Murmur and HARRAH'S pool are alot of fun!

I haven't been to AC in so long, but I've gone to Providence, 40/40 and Casbah clubs and they were a blast...

As far as gambling, Borgata is a really nice one! The trop has alot to do also
