NWR: Atlantic City SHutdown...

have you guys heard abou this??? The Govt can get ther Sh*t together and now for the first time in history Atlantic City's Casinos have closed their doors.... I thinks that crazy..

Oh no we were going there in 2 weeks for my brothers birthday and going to 40 40 club we got a limo. Are you serious...

It's unbelieveable right?! My FH, me, and a good couple friend of ours were going to go down for the weekend in two weeks but I can't now b/c of work and we aren't going to go unless this is cleared up!! I wanted to win $$ for the wedding But in all seriousness....it's truly ridiculous!

1 day of closing has already cost them 16 million dollars... thats just crazy! Hopefully they willc ome to some kind of decision.. Poor NJ

They are daying on thenew right now that they are working on at least getting the casinos open again by letting the city inspectors work. If that happens then that means casinos are in the clear to work again... Hopefully they will clear this mess up withing the next couple of day..I hope for the sake of Jersye this thing doesnt last two weeks

Its ridiculous!!! I was just there this weekend ... but all the money thats lost - all bc of a budget!!!!!! Its so unfair!

My cousin's bachelor party is in AC this weekend - I dont think they will STILL be shut down by then - but what if they are????

My parents get free rooms down there, and their host called them and cancelled their room for this weekend. I don't know if it's because they're canceling only free rooms, or if some of the hotels are closing. But if you, or anyone you know have plans to go down there I'd call to confirm. Although, I'm betting they'll be open by tomorrow.

Update - the hotels are still open, they're just not offering free rooms to the regulars. But from what my mom was saying, it sounds like the rates are reduced.

NJ is in a state of crisis!!!! The governor has a sound budget which the congress does not approve of! They owe millions to the pension of state workers at this point!!! Things just aren't pretty right now!
