Not hard at all - I think it was easier than the LAST! Its a lot of common sense.

Good Luck.. and just relax. Its a lot of reading comprehension that is tiresome. My essay was similar to the online 'study guide' that was given out. Maybe you can check that out on the same website that you used to sign up for the test.
GOOD LUCK!

i found the ats-w to be the easiest...go to the nystate dept. of ed and print out their sample test..it really helped me..they give a sample essay and i just read it the day before
good luck!

Absolutely a lot of common sense. Just relax and take your time. Get a good night's sleep and expect to take a nap when you get home. I found it to be very exhausting. Good Luck!!!

It's so easy! I got a perfect score... the above is a good suggestion... jsut to get a sense of how the test is set up and how they like the essay to be formatted. nothing to worry about....

Good Luck! It is mostly basic knowledge questions about education and situations on what you would do. I am sure you will pass!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! I am taking the CST in the fall and preparing now.

i agree with what everyone else has already said ... it's a lot of reading comp., but lots of common sense too. i thought it was much easier than the LAST. i always start with the essay first and then go back to the multiple choice. this way the essay is out of the way first thing.
good luck!

I agree....it wasnt bad at all! To make a long story short i got in a car accident on my way there and decided to still take it. I got there about an hour late and was sure i was going to fail. In the end I got a 284! My highest score. So you know it must not be that bad.

Not hard.....it is a lot of teaching practices questions. Easier than the LAST and the CST. Just plan out your essay well....they are looking more at structure more than content.....just keep to the subject they are asking about.
Good luck!!! It's not hard at all...just really long! If I remember correctly my essay was about integrating technology in the classroom. Don't stress over it!

I agree. i did the best on the ATS-W. Just get some sleep and you will do great. If I remember correctly (I have taken tests in 3 different states!), the essays ask you to tell both sides of an argument and then choose a side you agree with. Mine was about uniforms in school.
