Re: NWR: ATTN apartment renters...
Well, IDK if I can't stand them per se but, the people I rent from have two small children and it seems like they just run back and forth across the house all day long. I kinda just have to pretend that they don't exist on the weekends. *sigh*

Re: NWR: ATTN apartment renters...
We had some upstairs neightbors who walked like they had bricks in their shoes. I think one was a girl who wore her heels around the apt...annoying!!!!!!! We were at the point where it was so bad we were going to go up and talk to them, but then they moved out...problem solved. The new people up there aren't as bad, but sometimes I hear them. I guess that's the price we pay for living in an apt though.
What's your issue, Mariss?

OMG, boy do I!
Downstairs used to play such loud music my stove would shake. We asked them to lower it a few times and if they did it wouldn't last long. So finally I had to write a letter to our apartment buildings management and that pretty much ended the loud music. As far as upstairs, I think it's a family of giants. They're always running. They def have a dog (which isn't allowed) and it cries like I've never heard a dog cry before. It also sounds like they frequently drop bowling balls on the wood floor.
I'm counting the days until we move out.

Re: NWR: ATTN apartment renters...
We used to live upstairs and our neighbor downstairs who were okay. I told him that if we were doing things that were loud, to let us know.... and he would.... there was a humming noise at night that was bothering him, and I figured out it was the fan, so I put a towel under it and asked him the next day if he could still hear the noise and he said no thank you!!! My FH and I were trying to be good neighbors.... I think that you just need to be honest and talk to each other. Once the lines are drawn you better pray that you live on the 2nd floor lol a friend of mine was constantly fighting with her downstairs neighbor, and would walk around in her heels and stomp on the floor lol Be friendly, and honestly tell them if something is bothering you- they may not know.... we didnt

when we use to live in the appt we couldn't stand the people that lived downstairs, they were discustiing and loud and rude. We would purposly stamp around like elephants and blast loud music to piss them off, then we decided to grow up a little and one time FH went down and was like enough is enough, and from then on they didn't blast loud music and bang stuff around...

The guy who lives upstairs from me plays the bongos every once and a while but 5/7 nights a week theres definitely sublime or something equally as awful being blasted and it always seems like its after 10pm.
But I have had people evicted before for such things in the first building i lived it. Im definitely not afraid to tell them to shut up!

I have a neighbr that lives downstairs and they must have surround sound on their TV because my whole livingroom shakes and my poor dog gets so scared he runs and hides I usually stomp on the floor then FH yells at me for doing that But it just pisses me off so bad that we cant all sit and watch TV without feeling like we live above a movie theather

Re: NWR: ATTN apartment renters...
Well, I've told stories about this before (and gotten in trouble) but we live in FFIL's house which he converted into two apartments. It's really nice, except we do ALL of the work around the house. Rake the leaves, take the garbage cans to the curb and back, mow the lawn in the summer... fh's brother doesn't do anything. Plus he has a smelly dog that he doesnt take such great care of because he works a lot and lately he's taken up smoking in the house. It smells gross when people walk in and we don't have an outlet downstairs for a plugin so I'm constantly trying out different smelly things down there but it still stinks like smoke and dog.
When it doesn't come to things concerning the apartment, he's a nice guy but when it comes to him being our neighbor he really isn't a good one.
