I have always loved the name Emma but ever since Rachel from Friends went and named her daughter Emma its becoming a popular name...I'm don't want my child to have a 'me too' name you know 'My daughters name is Emma' 'OH ME TOO'

My favorite names for a

Sophia Cristina
Delaney Rose
Lea Rose

Tristan James
Aiden (FH doesn't like)
Liam (Fh also doesn't like)
Jack (FH likes Jake for a boy...I'm not feeling it...he doesn't like Jack)

My niece's name is Delaney! I love it. Her sister's name is Markayla. They are the cutest little girls ever (but I'm a l'il biased!)

Great thread! Especially since DH and i have been nonstop talking about baby names, lol!

We will prob go with John Michael or John Thomas for a boy and Kelsey Elizabeth for a girl!

And as for the George Carlin comments...LOL!!! I love him. The best is when he said about his poor 'Uncle Mary Margaret' lol!!

I've loved the name Olivia since I was 13! And I love Hannah and Ava. But maybe they won't be as popular, say, 5 or 6 years from now...

Not to insult anyone's taste, but most of those boy's names are not real boy's names!! When did we decide boy's names should sound cutesy or preppy? The same with some of the girls names!!

I think George Carlin said it best when he said 'I would be willing to bet you that 10 times out of 10 Tyler, Dylan and Kyle will get their azzes kicked by Mike, Frank and Tony'

That's great!!!!! I got such a visual on that!

I love the name Emma Rose but I don't like how common Emma has become. FH really loves Hailey but we can't use it bc it rymes w/ his last name.

He already has a daughter, Chelsea Anna.

We've really been debating this lately. I refuse Kevin Jr. The other day he wanted Shea (he's a Mets fan) but I vetoed bc I'm a Yankees fan. I've always wanted Vincent, but I think we agreed on Nicholas Ryan.

I love the veto power, the one who carries the child has unlimited veto!!!!!!

My dogs name is Jack and it really is my favorite name but I just couldn't name my baby that because of that!

When the time comes:

Boy:Adam
Girl: Winter

That's so funny cause I've always wanted to name my daughter Autumn, but everyone I tell thinks it's a terrible name. What do you girls think?

My last name is Shea, and it's a running joke in the family that the first sister to have a baby gets to name it Shea, cause we'll all have different last name by then. It's a great name and can be used for both boy and girl, but I think it's better for a girl.

about Aidan... we were discussing this at lunch today- Did Aidan become the #1 boys name because of sex and the city?

I've wanted Izabella for a forever!! I always wanted to name her Izabella Lucille (after my grandmother). (yes, I spell it different)

BUT... FH has shot it down

So, we've got a few picked out for girls that we agree on:
#1 Taylor
#2 Dylan

For a boy, we're keeping that a secret

girl- hailey
boy- brody

My brother and his wife had a baby in August, during her pregnancy I kept saying its going to be a girl and I kept calling her Hailey instead of just saying the baby, i was sick of saying 'the baby' 'it' , when the baby was born, it was a girl, and they named her Hailey for me!
