NWR - baby shower

FH sister is pregnant and is not going to find out the sex of the baby. her shower is end of sept and i want to do something cute for her. She loves vera bradely so im going to buy her a vera bradley diaper bag and fill it with things - any creative idea on what to include in it? even if its a little something just for her!

I've seen the cakes with onesies and with the bibs and washclothes. Did they register? Luckily, FH and I had it easy... we just picked up the carriage.

Cute idea! maybe include some of the essentials like bottles, bibs, burp cloths, binkies and a bottle of wine for her for those days/nights the baby cries!

Re: NWR - baby shower

maybe get her some supplies that she would normally keep in the bag and then a pandora (or something similar) chain with a gift card to go get a bead with the birthstone for the baby when he/she is born

this question is making me realize how uneducated I am in the whole pregnant friend thing haha

I always make a basket for my friends for their baby showers:

small laundry basket
a few small packs of size one diapers (pampers & huggies)
two tubs of wipes (pampers & huggies)
qtips
cotton balls
jar of vaseline
washcloths
pack of white onesies
baby laundry detergent (dreft or target knock off)
baby tylenol (target knock off)
diaper cream
Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo - regular
Johnson & johnson baby shampoo - nightime
baby gum cleaner & toothbrush (by orajel)
bounty papertowels
teething pacifier (razzberry)
any kind of teething ring/toy
disposable bibs
disposable changing pads

For the mom I always gets books:

Preggatinis (virgin cocktails)

I just did this for one of my BM, but she was having twins, so I went a bit overboard. I filled it with a bunch of little things like washcloths, socks, mittens, onesies, recieving blankets and burp cloths. And then I also got her stuff to go with her breast pump system. I had a lot of fun filling the bag, and you really can get very creative with this! Have fun!

I have also made a laundry basket with the things in the following poem (when you do it you take out the phrases in parenthesis and add that to the basket:

Here are some ideas for the parents (magazine) to be.
The formula (can of formula) for nurturing your sweent new baby.
The light (night light) of your lives, your baby's nearly here.
Soon you both can snuggle (fabric softener) and hold your baby near.
Those first sweet cries will be music (lullayes) to your ears.
Hold your wee one close, tell your baby 'no more tears' (baby shampoo).
To bond (Gold bond baby powder) with your new baby, every day and night.
The keys (baby teething keys) are love & kindness, soft touches are just right.
You can pamper (diapers) your new bundle, who needs to feel secure.
Your little lamb (stuffed animal) will love you, of that you can be sure.
As the apple (jar of baby food) of your eyes, your baby can be free.
To learn about the world in a bright safe nursery (playtex nurser).
Please try not to shout (stain remover) if your baby makes a fuss.
It's your Child's (magazine) way of learning to be like the rest of us.
We hope you have enjoyed these tips (Q-tips) for your family.
We're certain that parenthood will suit you to a tee (t-shirt).
