Hi ladies! In August I'm going to be co-hosting a baby shower for my best friend who will be visiting from Colorado, but I need some help. Since she lives so far away, we'd like to either have a 'gift card' themed shower or somehow ask the guests to order online/have the gifts shipped directly to her house (since she'll have no way to get them home). The problem is that we don't know how to word the invitation so that it doesn't sound tacky or awful! Does anyone have any ideas or a cute poem that we could use or is this just a lost cause? TIA!

I hosted a Baby Shower for my sister a couple of years ago and had the same issue. She lives in Georgia and was here visiting. I don't have a poem but since it was a relatively small shower, I just told everyone b/c of the situation it would probably be easier for her if they bought her a gift card or had their items shipped to her. B/c of the situation, people will understand. Esp. b/c she's pregnant & traveling, you don't want her dealing w/ large packages or anything. Good Luck!
