NWR: Baking Classes???

Hi ladies, I've always wanted to learn how to bake pies, and how to bake cookies. Does anyone know where I can take a baking class or how to learn how to bake cookies??

Did you also take these courses alone? How much and how long were they? I really want to start baking my own cookies and always wanted to learn how to bake lol Maybe I should buy baking for dummies lol

yes i took the courses alone (with other people in the class though of course, it was small like 10 ppl max), the courses all vary in price but i would say majority are $100 and up.

I love ICE!!! My sister (who is an amazing cook already) takes classes there all the time. I've taken a couple but I don't have her love of cooking

She also had her 30th birthday party there and it was amazing!!!!!

Their classes are around $100.

yes - you can do a cooking party. It was super expensive, but great fun.

They used to actually host parties there a few times a year. They were called ICE breakers and they were $100 a person and you went in got hors deovers and unlimited wine and soda, then you were put on a team with about 6 other people and you cooked part of your meal. The teams were divided into appetizers, main course and dessert. You cooked your part of the meal under a chef's supervision and then you all sat at tables and ate the whole meal. It was so much fun. We did it a couple of times because it was a good fun night out.

Here's the link to them, and you would go to the recreational division.

Loaves & Fishes Cookshop in Garden City is good. A friend of ours works there and from what I have seen the classes are fun and the quality of food is really good.
