NWR: Barbara Walters Special Last Night

I fell asleep, who did she pick for her most fascinating person, the secret person, the last interview?

I guess I misunderstood what 'fascinating' means.

I thought the list would at least include everyone's favorite, Wacko Jacko. If he's on tv or in the news, people are talking. Wouldn't that make him fascinating?

The fact that Paris Hilton preceeded Karl Rove was odd to me. I thought Karl Rove was a boring choice as well...and Paris? BLAHHH!! Talk about someone who can't really form too many intelligent sentences. She just really bothers me!

I CANNOT STAND PARIS.....I think all her money should be taken away from her bc she's so stupid, a person like that doesn't deserve that much money..she isn't doing anything good with it....

She claims that since the age of 18 she has made 'all her own money' and lived without a cent from her family. RIGHT. And if this is true...who do you think fronted her the $$ for all her business ventures? Hmmmm....

Someone on here said she reminded them of an overcooked chicken. I think that sums it up!

I must be a minority...I actually do like Paris Hilton. I find her very entertaining, and her stupidity, whether its an act or reality, makes me laugh. I saw the show last night and would rather watch Paris Hilton over Karl Rove any day!

Yeah, Karl Rove while interesting coulda just been in the regular line up definitely not THE most fascinating. I can't stand Paris either but I do think she's smarter than they make her out to be - she knows how to play whatever part is necessary. I do think she's immature though, but at 23 she's totally entitled to be.

I think they picked him because he orchestrated the election. He has been a very shrewed advisor to campaigns all his life and does have an indirect impact on the American public's life. He is a mastermind at getting his candidate elected in a very close race. No matter if you voted for Bush or not, it is Karl Rove's campaign strategy that got him elected. Consequently, the president's policies, for good or for bad, will effect the American public (especially in our relations with other countries, which yes, does impact your taxes, etc.) more than the overwhelming majority of people on that list. This next president will appoint 4 Supreme Court justices, so yes, Karl Rove, has just indirectly impacted the rest of your life. Who knows, had Kerry won maybe it would have been his campaign strategist.

Good point - it is scary about the 4 S.C. judges.
