I just got the starter kit....I LOVE it....it's so light, but yet the coverage is awesome!!! I've been using Mac for the past 8 years and kept hearing all the rave about Bare Minerals so I figured I would try it....Anyone else a big fan?

I wish I had tried it sooner, but I've been warned to hold on to my Mac for going out when pictures are taken because the Bare Minerals makes you look pale? Have you had that problem?

No, my face is always the same color as my body in pics (which is usually pale, lol). I've been using it for over a year, and I've never had a weird picture.

How expensive is it? My skin is very sensitive and I'm sick of spending the money on Chanel products (the only brand that doesn't make me break out!).

I just got the ELF version for my MOH - it was 1/3 the price of Bare Minerals...she loves it.

The starter kit is $60 and that includes 3 kinds of bruses, 2 foundations, 1 bronzer and 1 finishing powder...should be cheaper or relatively comparable to chanel

eyeslipsface.com yeah it is the same concept, just cheaper. It may not be as good, but she feels it is good enough!

Much cheaper. I spend about $80 on liquid foundation alone.

i've used it for a few years now.. gave up on mac.. to heavy.. i always felt like i had to do an exfoliation to get all of that stuff off..
i may try the ELF version..check out the prices for bareminerals on sephora.. it's not so expensive i don't think.. and it lasts a long long time.

I'll have to pop in there the next time I'm at Walt Whitman. When work starts again on Wednesday, I'll drive by afterwards since it's just down the road.

Re: NWR: Bare Minerals
I tried it at Ulta and it was AWFUL--but that was just because of the woman who put it on me.
First she put on the light shade when I'm medium and I looked like a ghost. Then she put the eyeshadow that you're supposed to wet on my eyes in a line (it looked like someone had drawn with a pen on my eyelids!)...Then she put about 10 pounds of it on and said, 'I think people should look like they're wearing makeup if they're wearing makeup!'
Needless to say, I went next door to another store and scrubbed it off in the bathroom...and obviously didn't buy it.
I think that isn't representative of the product, though!
