NWR: Bare Minerals and 'Foundation Primer'???

I have been wearing Bare Minerals for almost 2 years. I like it, but I feel I still need more coverage, so a lot of the time, I wear tinted moisturizer or even a little Mary Kay foundation underneath. I recently went to Ulta to buy more Bare Min., and had to ask the sales person where it was... and she asked me if I wore a primer. I said no, and she showed me this one called Studio Gear, which is an Ulta-only brand I thik. She put it on my hand and then put the make up on -- and what a difference. It was definitely the coverage I wanted. But for $40, pluys the $25 for the Bare Min, I passed ... but I have seen Smashbox and Nars primers on ebay, and am thinking of buying one to try.

Does anyone use a primer? And more importantly, if you do, do you use it with Bare Minerals? Do you like what it does?

I use smashbox primer and it is awesome! I love how it feels and my foundation goes on so smooth over it. I also use bare minerals on occasion. I just haven't been back to Ulta to buy more. lol, so lately Ive been using a tinted moisturizer with spf! I would give it a shot!

Was your saleslady MEAN too???? MIne was so know-it-all like, so on top of the $$, I also didn't buy it to spite her :)

no they were nice, but of course a bit pushy. I felt the lotion on my hand and thought t felt really smooth so i thought what the heck, I'll try it. But i dont notice much of a difference. I too feel like i need a bit more cioverage so i still sometimes put some of my liquid fondation underneath.

what Ulta did you go to? I went to the one on help trpk in levittown (i think)

Yes, that's the one I went to! They were rearranging the store, and I couldn't find anything ... I was so annoyed ... and so I had to ask the woman where it was. She was really kinda nasty about it, that I wasn't using a primer and that I didn't want to buy it.

i use the primer with my BM... i think it helps a lot. It gives my skin a satiny finish that helps the foundation go on smoother. Its called prime-time, and i only paid $20-30 for the bottle.

even if I didn't use it as a primer, i love the way it makes my face feel silky!
