last month i tried using the pill for the first time.. and after a week of using it i had terrible side effects.. i almost had to be rushed to the emergency room. so needless to say after talking to my doctors we opted to not use the pill anymore. now i only used it for a week.. so my question is, will my next period be messed up because of the hormones i had in me for that week? or should i be right on schedule? i tried looking it up online but it was all based on people who were coming off the pill after months of usage.. so now im confused

Usually when I take the pill, and then stop it after some time before the cycle is over, i'll end up getting my period for the rest of the cycle, sometimes 3 weeks long! but if you haven't gotten that yet, you should be fine.

I have been on the bd pill since I was 16 because of a hormone problem that I have...... so I have always beenon the pill.. never off.. however, I do know that my mom had some issues being on the pill and when she came off of it, her period was a little wacky for a while, and not on schedule .... so don't freak if it's a little late or lasts longer... but if you are concerned definitely call your Dr. again but as far as I am concerned I think it's pretty normal for it to be a little off after something like that........ at least from what I've heard......

thanks for the input ladies.. i was just curious because i was only on it for a week.. and i wasnt sure if that was enough time to have an affect on it or not.

Usually when i take the pill and stop it for whatever reason suddenly in the middle, then i will get a really heavy period for like 8-9 days, but every person is different, i dont think it should be a problem though because you stopped after just the 1 week pills.....you can also call ur gyno and ask them

You may be messed up but hopefully not too bad since you only took it for a week...ugh...don't you just love being a woman!??
