I need help ladies, Im on BCP called Loestrin 24. I was suppose to get my period on Saturday but she no showed. Im suppose to start my next pill pack tonight, Should i start it with out having a period or should i wait untiil she comes and then start it? I dont know why im late. I usually get my periods on the 1st all the time. I dont know it could be why but i finished the pack im suppose to get it.
Help WHAT IS GOING ON?????

I would call the doctor. I know its Sunday, but they should have an emergency line. Good luck!

Wait, you were supposed to get your period yesterday and then start the pack today? I'm confused... but I would def call your dr... that does sound very strange that you missed it, especially being that you are on the pill! I'm sorry I'm not much help, but I def don't want to give you bad advice.... good luck with everything!!!

you take 24 pills, 3 days placebo, start the new pack with or without period. It is normal to miss your period when you start a new kind of pill, especially those that are 24 active pills. That happened to me with YAZ a similar pill. Take an at home pregnancy test. If that's negative, stop worrying, but make an appointment for after the New Year. Good luck!

yea the same thing with me.. I actually get my period now.. (regularly) on the day that I start the new pack... it's weird but it works out well and im very regular now .. im on YAZ.. if you are totally freaking out.. take an at home prego test... one that is an early detection.. but im sure your fine!

The early detection kit works best with the first urine of the morning. I went crazy on YAZ, didn't get my period for 3 months. I couldn't deal with that stress and went off it. But, I called my dr. when I missed my first period, she told me to take the test at home, if its negative, the test is 99% effective, as is the pill, so not to worry. When I missed it the second month, she had me come in, did some blood work, all was fine. After the third month of no period, we agreed I should go off it. I was fine on ortho tri cyclen lo for years, maybe the 24 pill pack isn't for you, it wasn't for me. Take the test so you stop stressing, and enjoy your New Year's Eve, I'm sure you are fine, but I went through this exact thing, so I know its easier said than done!

OMG...I recently experienced the very same thing on that exact BCP...I contacted my doctor who assured me that it is completely normal and you definitely should take the pills when you are told to...with or without your period!!! She also told me that technically there is no medical reason that says we need to get a period every month...no worries...FYI...I really like the pill now...good luck!
