'JUST TO GIVE YOU THE HEADS UP I GOT WORD FROM SOME LAW ENFORECEMENT SOURCES THAT IN THE NY,NJ AREAS THE GANG MS 13 IS INITIATING NEW MEMBERS. THERE METHOD IS TO BUMP YOUR CAR FROM BEHIND AND WHEN U GET OUT TO SEE THE DAMAGE THEY BEGIN SHOOTING AT YOU. JUST BE CAREFUL IF THIS HAPPENS AND TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRRORS TO SEE WHO IS IN THE CAR BEFORE YOU STEP OUT. OR CALL POLICE RIGHT FROM THE INSIDE OF YOUR CAR. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY. SEND THIS TO WHO YOU CAN TO BE ON THE LOOKOUT. TAKE CARE BE SAFE'

I always look these sorts of things up on Snopes

MS13 on Snopes

The story is usually the same but the states/towns always change.

When it comes to MS13, I wouldn't mess around. I checked it on Snopes too and it said it was an Urban Legend, but I never get out of the car when in an accident anyway. Usually because I want to kill the other person for hitting me.

Sounds like the same urban legend with MS 13 but instead of the bumping they would drive around with the headlights off, and if you flashed them they'll turn around and chase you.

i had a really scary experience w that gang when i was 16. i was out way later than i should have been w my friend's little brother, trying to get someone to buy cigarettes for us at a gas station. this kid told me he would get them for me and he did, but when he gave them to me he told me i had to go with him and he pointed for me to get in his car. so we started walking away and he followed us yelling that he was MS13 and we shouldn't be messing w him. we started running and he was running after us yelling 'don't fu@k w MS13!!' and some other stuff, and we ran to a kid's house i knew from school, and his parents let us in and we waited a little while and his dad drove us home.

whenever i hear the name of their gang i think of that and realize how lucky i am that kid didn't kill us or something.
