A duvet is the cover the goes over a plain comforter right? And the pros to that is that you can wash the duvet in the machine right? So if I was to register for this bedding set, I would only register for the duvet and a plain comforter right? (Not the duvet and patterned comforter in other words)...
And another question, whats the difference between a sham and a decorative pillow? Isn't a sham a 'for show only' pillow? Why does it come in different sizes?

a duvet does go over a comforter...usually a plain one and you can get a print on the duvet or solid.
from what i've seen with shams, it is just the outer case. a standard sham should fit a standard size pillow and yes it is decorative but it has the same idea as a duvet. it just comes off so you can wash it. a decorative pillow i'd be iffy on washing .
a euro sham i believe is smaller and remember seeing the actual pillow at Linen's and Things and it was a plain pillow...you'd need to put the sham on it

A Euro sham is the giant (usually square) pillows that go behind the sleeping pillows. They are usually in a different pattern than the standard sham (think a complementing solid- standard sham is usually in the same pattern as the duvet.
The stores sell duvet fillers to put inside the duvet. They are usually white.
