NWR: Best way to get to Newark Airport--ATTN NJ BRIDES!

I have to drive FH to the airport so he can fly back to Sweden today :( Usually, my dad helps us out but he’s away on vacation. I do have a GPS, so I don’t need directions so much as an idea of what areas/bridges/tunnels I should avoid because of traffic or whatever.

TIA girls!

ETA: I'm coming from Nassau County on LI.

Opps! Know I probably left something out, lol. We're coming from Nassau County, and the flight is at 5:30.

If he's flying international that means he has to be there 2 hours ahead right? So you'd be on the road around 2:30? I think you're fine anywhere. No one highway is going to be so bad, or much worse than any other at that time. Hope he has a safe flight.

Take the Southern State West into the Belt Parkway West then the Verrazano bridge into Staten Island stay on the Staten Island Parkway to the Goethels Bridge then take the NJ Turnpike North to exit 13A I believe. Check that exit before you get off, it will say it on the toll ticket.

Just a tip - whenever we travel down to Jersey or Maryland, we always check AM 1010 - they do traffic reports every 10 mins - if there is a major accident on a crossing you could save time even if it means going out of the way.

Have you looked into the option of taking a train? They leave from Penn station and cost about $15 from Penn - just another option for u.

Yeah, we were thinking of taking the train—but my god, I have no clue where he got all this luggage from! I think he’s taking back lots of stuff he’s left over here in the years, lol. So while it may be more stressful to drive, it will also save my arms from some pain, lol.

Thanks for all the advice and help ladies!

Yep, that's the best way! It's the first exit when you get on the Jersey Tpke north after you get off the bridge.

That is the worst route possible! I'm sorry - but the SIP is one of the worst spots for traffic!!!
