NWR: Biotin

So, my hairdresser recommended that I use Biotin because it strengthens hair and nails. I think some of you on here may have mentioned that you use it too. My order came last night (ordered from a website Puritan's Pride, FH checked it out and said it looked fine) and I notice that on the bottle it says dietary supplement. I have never and do not want to take any form of diet pills. I checked out the ingredients and it looks fine, calcium carbonate, gelatin, silica, and vegetable magnesium stearate. Anyone who uses biotin, does it have those ingredients and/or does it say dietary supplement on the bottle too? I'm nervous to take it!

yup that's right I work in a lab we make 'dietary supplements' it's just a term you have to use as per the FDA to say it isn't a drug but it has been registered with them. It does exactly that supplements a diet (not a weight loss plan but your actual diet). It supports what nutrients you would already be getting from food, vitamins.. etc.

Kinda of a round about answer but I think you get the idea
