so i have been on 28 day birth control pills for almost an entire year with no problems. I have however not been so regular with the exact time to take them and i missed two pills in like february. This may have contributed to the 'break through bleeding' I had this week. So basically I got an entire week's worth of an actual period one week exactly BEFORE my pills ended. SO, tomorrow I would NORMALLY be not taking the pills and getting my period but since I had my period should i start the new pack tomorrow or take the placebo pills this coming week as I normally would if I hadn't gotten my period before?

I would take the pills as you normally would and unfortunately get your period again. It will keep your pill taking cycle regular and not mess up you 'internal calendar' anymore.

Yeah, take the pills as you normally do, you will probably still get a period this week too.... this happend to me and I asked my gyno what to do. Also, if this keeps happening where your period starts getting messed up even if you take the pill on time, you might need to switch meds. Maybe you should also figure out a time when you know you'll be able to get the pills around the same time. I take mine b4 i go to bed which is a pretty normal routine time for me.

Take the pills normally. I am also on the 28 pack, and I ALWAYS start my period before I finish my orange pills and end up having no period during the placebo. I tried starting a new pack when my period finished once, and told my Doc about it and she told me I could be messing up my entire cycle and speeding it up which is not healthy. So take the pills, even the orange ones while you are having your period, and then run through the placebos. You'll even out and be regular again. GL!

Do what you normally would, and call your doctor. If you're not that good at taking them at the right time, I suggest switching to the NuvaRing. I use it, and it's the best thing. Put it in, forget about it for three weeks. Some women have issues with it, that they or their partner can feel it, but we can't. Best birth control I've ever used.

OMG!! I am sooo glad you asked this question!! This happened to me last week. I forgot to takethe pill for 2 days. I remembered the morning of the third day. Now i usually take my pills at night, around 9-10pm. So that morning, i took the 2 I forgot, and that night i took the third one (the one for that day) I was soo sick the next day. But ever since i've been getting the nasty stuff before the period and yesterday I started getting the period. Im on the sugar pills tomorrow. SO i know i'll be having my period for the next two weeks. But i plan on staying with the cycle. FH just better stay away from me, because I am now super paranoid about being pregnant. So no nookie for the next month

thanks ladies! i know its all my fault- i have not been as strict with taken them on time and this week i did a lot of googling and really lucky i am not pregnant. will not start pack till next sunday. no nookie for a long time and taking pills in the morning instead of at night because i think i will be more likely to take them on time since i always wake early but do not always sleep at the same time..i have dr appt at end of month anyways so will double check then.
