I just went to Williams Sonoma...they have the cutest set...it's a plate (with the cutest farm animals) and I also got a matching bowl (with a rubber bottom so it doesn't slip) and a matching sippy cup. So cute! And they gift wrap it for you in the nicest box (I got the gift for my one year old nephew)

I like to give fisher price little people (good for young kids to grow into) or books.

You dont have to spend a ton of money for a 1 year old... books and a toy or outfit are good.

I ende up getting him a bunch of Dr. Suess books! I loved them when I was a kid so I figured he would have them for a while.
