NWR: Blackberry Plans

So I think I am gonna break down and finally get a blackberry....so I've been doing my research and all the plans confuse me...all different things all different prices...what plans do u have and how much if you don't mind sharing? I've seen data plans from $30 to $80...i'm guessing in addition to the basic plan.

Re: NWR: Blackberry Plans

Who do you have as a service provider? I have Verizon and my data plan is $35 a month on top of the regular cell phone bill. Not sure what the regular cell bill would be b/c I am an added line on FHs account for $9.99.

eta: the data plan I have is unlimited.

Re: NWR: Blackberry Plans

I am on sprint with a palm phone (its not blackberry, i know lol) My plan is $89.99 a month and Shawn's is $99.99 (mine is cheaper bc we have the same plan and they do a discount for that) included in our plan is unlimted minutes, unlimited text, unlimited data, mobile to mobile...We took out the higest level plan that was offered, but there are cheaper plans out there. If you use the phone and all its features like we do, this kind of plan would be your best bet.

FH and I have a family plan wit ATT.. I get a discount from my job, however as far as the blackberry, i pay $30 a month. I get internet, email & Blackberry Messenger. It is the basic plan for personal use and is more then enough.

FH and I have Verizon too. We have unlimited nights/weekends and verizon to verizon, and unlimited verizon to verizon texts. I think we also get 1200 minutes a month (not 100% sure though, its either that plan or the one just below that one). Overall it's not a bad deal.

Re: NWR: Blackberry Plans

I totally want a Blackberry!! I do love my phone, however I need the Blackberry to hook up to the kennel to check my schedule. I don't want to have to sync this and do that. Besides FH hates his phone. We're not due for new ones for a while. Think Verizon might cut a deal in light of their buy one Blackberry get one half or free or whatever it is???

Re: NWR: Blackberry Plans

I have verizon, and I have the data plan w/o the network. It's an additional $30 a month. I don't need the network plan.. I don't hook it up to my computer or anything work related.

If you are getting just bc you want one. DO IT!! I love it, seriously if you are getting a new phone anyway and can splurge on the extra money go for it!

Re: NWR: Blackberry Plans

I wanted a Blackberry sooo much, but then I found out it's an additional $30 per month even if you don't use internet, email, etc. My phone bill is high enough, and for my personal use I don't think it is worth the extra $30 per month. (I have Verizon)

Re: NWR: Blackberry Plans

i have the storm and i love it. the company i work for is cracking down on internet usage and basically reading all our emails (personal as well) so 2 days after this went into full affect, my contract with verizon was up and got the storm and now i can access my email without anyone reading my emails!!!
i stopped going on the internet for personal use until i became addicted to LIW. now im on all day and will probably get fired when they find out.

oh and it was only another $30 on top of my normal bill. all i did was add the basic data plan and kept everything else the same
