NWR: Board Games

Sooo, as many of you can prob relate....with paying for the wedding, FH's birthday, my birthday, xmas and our 10 year anniversary coming up, FH and i have ZERO money to spend!!!! So weve been getting together with some friends over the weekend and playing some board games instead of going out to dinner and bars and spending a ton of money. We want to start playing different games though, bc as fun as the ones we play are, we kind of like to switch it up. We play poker, cranium, scene it and taboo mostly, and ive heard of apples to apples but weve never played...anyone have any other suggestions for some fun board games for grown ups????

scene it and cranium are our favorites but to mix it up we play scattegories. It's a lot of fun

we really had fun with the DVD games they sell everywhere now....they're SHOUT at whatever...

Shout at the Movies
Shout at TV
Shout at Music...

LOTS of fun - but you can really only play 3 times - there are 3 games on each DVD. They are usually 15-20 per dvd..

we actually tried playing the 90s edition of trivia pursuit, and we couldnt get anything right!!! lol, so we switched back to cranium lol

scattegories. we tried out a new one last week that we loved but i can't think of the name of it. played taboo and scene it last night.

i LOVE yahtzee...great for tournament style lol
we just got the family feud DVD game which is fun too....also life is fun...theres a new one that just came out

Catch Phrase is a good game too. Or Family Feud.

We're big fans of game night too! Great inexpensive way to have a fun, low key night.

thats a cute idea! me and fh have been renting movie and are have romantic dinners home..i like it better sometimes than going out! as for games..i love trivial pursuit...and i know im corny for saying this..but i still love shoots and ladders!!!!! also what about monopoly?>
