NWR: Bringing FH to NY...need some help!

FH and I will be in NY with my family this year for Christmas...for 12 days!!

This is his first year not being in FL for Christmas so I wanna keep him busy! He HATES the cold and only wants to do things that involve being indoors (or anywhere that has heat lol).

Anyone have any ideas for what we can do during our 12 days in NY? (he's been to LI a bunch of times but we never really 'do things', just hang with the family)

well u gotta take him to the museums here in the city, and for a show
then line up some restaurants that the city has to offer
basically a very NY kinda visit

try to get tickets to a sporting event or a concert?
indoor iceskating or indoor rollerskating
drive around to see all the amazing lights!!!
grab a cheap bus ticket to AC for the day!

Take him to indoor paint ball...I believe there is a place on wellwood in farmingdale.

A broadway show is a great idea. A lot of guys like Avenue Q which is now off broadway.

What about the Radio City Xmas Spectacular? It may be hard to get tix so last minute but it's worth a shot.

Does he like history? I would check out Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay, Teddy Roosevelt's old summer house. I know we all went there on field trips when we were kids, but it really is great!

If i were you I would buy your fh a heavy coat a hat and some gloves layer him up and go to the city! theres soo many amazing things to do there that cannot be passed up because of the cold.

spend the day in the city.. bundle up but tell him he wont be cold all day.. then go to:

museum of natural history in the city- one of my favorite places..

carriage ride through central park

mickey mantles restaurant (mmm best chicken parm and fried calamari)

st. patricks- i LOVE it there

go to bryant park and go ice skating (much cheaper and you can go all day and the guys that work there are HYSTERICAL)
and while you're there go to the chocolate shoppe and get a hot chocolate- it was AMAZING (too bad FH drank it all while i was skating )

go to the empire state building and times square

see a show

just make a total day of the city and if you want to splurge make it an over night trip.. hell the museum can take all day to go through.. he might complain that its chilly.. but its worth it.

but if you're not into that what about the ny aquarium?

shopping/lunch or dinner/movie at tanger in deer park. after xmas all the stores will prob have great sales and the new movie theatre is really nice there
