Re: NWR: Broadway Shows
I LOVE Broadway. Shows currently on that are GREAT are Wicked and Jersey Boys. For your FH, I'd recommend Jersey Boys. It is the story of the Four Seasons and it has all their music. My FH LOVED it.

Phantom of the Opera!!!! FH and I went to see this play and FH loved it!!! Just make sure that you and FH know the story ahead of time because it's a musical and it may be a little hard to follow sometimes. I've seen it twice so far and I love it!!! FH was just saying yesterday how we have to see it again in the future.
This winter FH and I want to see either Wicked or The Lion King.

Re: NWR: Broadway Shows
I work in the theatre industry so I have some good suggestions.
If you think he'd like a musical, then I'd go with Chicago, Rock of Ages or Avenue Q. Just a note, Avenue Q is no longer in a Broadway theatre - it's at New Worls Stages, which is a cool sorta off-B'way place...you can bring in your drinks, it's a funky place.
If he's into plays, then I'd Phantom (which is a classic), The 39 Steps, or God of Carnage. I absolutely LOVED God of Carnage. Amazing show, fantastic cast, cannot rave enough about it.
HTH!
ETA: Yes, Spamalot did close.
