NWR: Broadway shows..

My FIL are coming to town for their 30th Anniversary and we want to take them out to a Broadway show.. HOWEVER, the tickets are $100 and up!!! We have 5 people that we're paying for (us, them and his sister), and are not ready to spend almost 1K on Broadway show tickets. Does anyone know where/how I can get them for less?

If you want to buy tickets the day of the show, you can get them 50% off at TKTS (the booth in Times Square). You have to wait in line and have like a list of top 3 choices of shows, but the tickets are usually great. For matinee shows, the line opens at 9, for evening, it's 3, I think.

Also, if some of the people attending are students (I.E. - have student IDs) they can usually get 2 tickets a piece with their ID for $25 for some shows. Here's a list of shows that have it.

My fiance got us tickets to see Rock of ages and phantom on this site and they were great seats and awesome prices..
It will give you discount codes. Click on the show you want(might not be all shows) and the code will come up with the prices.. You'll save about 25-30% a ticket. You will save more at TKTS. But it is the same day and I've done that alot and have NEVER had a problem. You could save anywhere from 40-60% on tickets..Jersey Boys will not be on any of those discounted sites anywhere.
FYI.. If you havent seen Rock of Ages yet. Its an amazing show. So fun and great. And Phantom is also my other fav. Seen it 3 times..
