if you do that they are goign to be thick like brownies. If I were you I would try to find a recipe because your'e going to need to thin out the batter a little bit to make them more cakey.

I second the finding a recipe or else you'll end up with extra thick brownies. If you can't/change your mind cheesecake brownies are AWESOME. There's usually a recipe on the cream cheese package (brick form from Philly) for them.

I have brownies in the oven, I felt like it was that kind of day!! I'm not creative though, I just made regular brownies using the mix in the box.

No idea if this actually works, but I found this online:

Brownie Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting
Enjoy the classic combo of peanut butter and chocolate with these quick-fix brownie cupcakes!

Prep Time:30 min
Start to Finish:1 hr
Makes:12 cupcakes

Brownies
1 box (1 lb 6.5 oz) Betty Crocker® Original Supreme brownie mix (with chocolate syrup pouch)
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 or 3 eggs
Betty Crocker® Decor Selects candy sprinkles, nonpareils or colored sugars, if desired
Peanut Butter Frosting, if desired
1 cup Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting (from 1-lb container)
1/3 cup peanut butter
2 to 3 teaspoons milk

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Place paper baking cup in each of 12 regular-size muffin cups, or grease bottoms only of muffin cups. In medium bowl, stir brownie mix, chocolate syrup, water, oil and 2 eggs for fudgelike brownies (or 3 eggs for cakelike brownies), using spoon, until well blended. Fill cups about 3/4 full (about 1/4 cup each).
2. Bake 28 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean or almost clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely.
3. In small bowl, mix all frosting ingredients until until smooth and spreadable. Spread frosting over brownies; sprinkle with candy sprinkles. Store tightly covered.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Follow High Altitude directions on box for cakelike brownies. Use paper baking cups. Bake about 28 minutes.
