I am booking a bus for next week for a business convention I have in Connecticut. Is a 10% gratuity for the driver inadequate? Or, should I up it to 15%? The bus I am looking into is $725. If I give him $75 for the day, that would be the 10% tip.
We would have an early Queens pickup at 6:30 AM, a second pick-up in the Bronx @ 7 AM and then off to New Haven, where we will be there until 4:30 PM.
What do you think? I am usually a generous tipper, but I am also trying to minimize cost for my group. Anything above what they pay per person, I will have to pay out of my own pocket.

Re: NWR - Bus Driver Tipping
I would say 15% tip. I know it can cost a few dollars more per person but it will make a huge difference to the driver. These guys work for tips so one or two dollars more per person is omy suggestion.
