The woman's face was mauled by a dog. If I had no face and this was my only hope to a normal life, I would do it too!

I guess in this day and age, I figured people would do anything - guess I should pick up a paper once in a while, huh????

People are talking about the ethics of performing such a surgery. Something like this was on NIP/TUCK where a brain dead girl's mother offered the face of her child to give purpose to the life of another disfigured teen. Unfortunately, the girl rejected the tissue and it had to be removed.
There are many ethical dilemmas about this and people, again say that surgeons are playing G-d by doing this. IMO, it is no different than an organ donation. If a person of sound mind indicates that they will donate their face or skin or an unconventional part of their body so someone else can have a normal life, then so be it. G-d bless BOTH the donor and the recipient.

I knew about the mauled dog thing...I didnt mean THAT was funny...
I meant the way it was written in the little blurb was so blase' and 'off' it just struck me as funny
