NWR- But I have to share!

I got a new job!!!! I'm a paraprofessional at Half Hallow School District, special ed department. It's a great way to get my foot in the door too! They told me they hire their teachers within, so if I work really hard and and have good references, I have a great chance of getting a teaching position there after I graduate! I'm just so excited! I used to work at Developmental Disabilities Institute and the pay was really low, but I wanted the experience, now that I have it, I got this job that pays more!

Congrats, and if they do hire from within then you are in an excellent position. Definitely a good idea to get people to know you in the school. Good luck!

Congrats!!! I worked at that school to fill in for an OT that was on maternity leave last year!! The school and the kids were great!!

Congrats on the job! I just got a job at Bayport Blue Point! You have to start somewhere! If you make yourself visable, im sure that you will get hired as a teacher!
