NWR but I need to vent
Okay so work today was a complete and total disaster. I get in at 8:45 and 2 computers werent working. My 'supervisor' tells me (doesnt ask me and I didnt even put my crap down yet) to call this one and that one and why wasnt this already set up. There was a staffing change that the higher powers wanted at like 4:30 yesterday. Apparently they didnt think to have the computers all changed over. Okay so FINALLY this gets done at noon becuase there were 'other important' things that needed to be done. Amidst all this chaos one of the brain surgeons that I work with forgets the password to get into her computer and she gets locked out. Now we have to get the IT Dept to reset hers b/c they are they only ones that can do it.
So.....in a corporate travel agency having 3 people with computers that arent working on a Wednesday...NOT GOOD AT ALL.
Okay so things calm down and I come to find out that the person that gave her 2 weeks notice on Monday was made a counter offer and she decided to stay. Im wondering what was so great about this counter offer. Oh heres a little background......One of the big supervisors came from a differnt agency and she decided to bring a few people she worked with........So there is a ton of favortism there.
Well, the girl that gave her notice used to work for her and was promised (get ready for this)
1. To work solely on ONE account (before she was working on like 7)
2. $5000.00 PAY INCREASE AND BE ELEGIBLE FOR A BONUS IN DECEMBER
3. WILL BE ABLE TO WORK FROM HOME BY THE END OF DECEMBER
Um, okay so this girl called me over to her desk bc she needed help and there was a printout of the email so I kind of saw it but wasnt supposed to.
Now.........she is just a regular agent and she does a heck of alot less than I do AND SHE GETS A FLIPPEN RAISE????????????? AND GETS PROMISED TO WORK FROM HOME??????
So my HR lady (who is really cool) calls me and asks me how i feel about her staying (now she doesnt know I know what was promised) and all I said is that there is ALOT of favortism going on and its noticed by everyone.
Now here I am sitting here posting this and then Im going to send out my resume to a bunch of places........I even said to Vivian that if it was anyone else that gave their notice she wouldnt make all these promises.....would you know that she agreed with me????
