I am so sorry you are going through this! Is there any way you can speak to him about this? Otherwise, can you speak to his supervisor to file a complaint?
All I can offer are

Did he tell you specific examples of you displaying excessive emotion? I would ask.

Yes, he did. It was little things, like saying I worked really hard on writing a protocol that I gave him to edit. There were some other ones too, but nothing as bad as my other lab mate crying to him when her work isn't going well. And my other labmate and him are friends and he drives my advisor to work a lot. So they don't have a strictly professional relationship. They are buddy buddy, and I don't have that relationship with him. So I don't understand.
Ahhh. Favoritism at its best. I'm really sorry!

I'm so sorry! Is there someone you can go to about this? Someone other than your advisor?

I really hate being in this lab. But I think I waited way too long to do anything about it and now I'm stuck here, or I have to start over and take even longer to finish

Re: NWR--but I'm in tears at my desk
I REALLY wish I didn't have to invite him to the wedding, but I already sent out STDs. I thought I had to invite my whole lab since we all went to my labmate's wedding. But that was in MD where we all live. Little did I realize I probably could have gotten away with not inviting them since my wedding is out of state.

I get the 'professional' comments all the time because I'm an autism and behavior consultant from NS-LIJ and I'm in schools all the time - it drives me crazy because I feel I never can be myself - I've shed some tears over it as well - I completely understand!!!

That's exactly how I feel, like I can't express myself without getting called on it.
