NWR- Buying bedding sets before the bed?

NWR- Buying bedding sets before the bed?

Did anyone do that? We registered for a bedding collection (king size). Right now we have a queen bed but we really want to buy a king once we buy a house. We are hoping to buy the house soon after we get married.

Is that a bad idea? My biggest concern is that the fitted sheets fit up to 17 inch mattresses. Is that enough for a pillowtop mattress? FH thinks he may want a tempurpedic mattress or a pillowtop. Are tempurpedic mattresses flat? Would we have to get fitted sheets without the deep pockets?

Here is the bedding (not that it matters)...

TIA!!

We don't have any furniture yet, but we stupidly registered for king sheets and bedding, had a few people buy us king blankets and sheets, and then we decided that for an apartment (and even in a house) we'd go with a queen bed, so we had to exchange the king stuff, and it was super annoying.

But we did buy ourselves a bedding set just a few weeks ago, and we still don't have the bed. We know we wanted something in the mocha family, and we know we're getting chocolate colored wood furniture for the bedroom, so we figured we'd just buy it. Not sure what mattress we're going to get yet, but don't see a big problem buying the bedding first.

We registered for bedding too without having a bed. We figured we're probably going to stick with a queen bed until we move into a house in a few years, so that's what we registered for. I think it's fine.

I love that bedding set!! So girly! :0)

But as far as registering for something you don't have yet, I wouldnt suggest it because your plans may change so you don't know.

we got a KING set on our queen because I found this ridiculous sale and I was like, eh, why not. You can tuck it in and make it work till/if things change, or just keep it around for your new bed.
