NWR cable vs direct tv

I have always had cable and Im thinking about switching, does anyone have direct or fios? Which is cheaper and/or better? We currently have a Tivo and 2 tv's and get all the movie channels plus phone and internet for 186$ a month, when we move we will probably have 2 more tv's in the house.

I love Fios! My parents have it and its better then Cable. FH and I have Cable and it's okay. I haven't heard great things about Direct TV. I hear that it can come in fuzzy during a storm. HTH

Direct Tv is satellite based, I think, so the service goes in and out

Fios is awesome. My parents have it, and it rocks

We just have RCN cable with TiVo, since my building only has that and Time Warner

We have Fios and LOVE it! We had cable but when they dropped my HGTV I made FH switch to Fios and its been great. We have 2 tvs with the HD channels and a multiroom DVR and we pay $140 a month. I think they have a deal now though that you can get the dvr free for life if you stay at the same address. I would never go back to cable (cablevision). they were terrible, terrible customer service, outages for no reason. We've had Fios 2 years and never had an outtage, we broke our remote and they had a new one to us by the next day.
