ladies please tell me that I am not the only jerk who always feels guilty calling in sick to work, no matter how sick I am. I used to be like this with school too!
Why cant I just be like I'm sick and I am not going LOL without all the added stress I feed myself about it

I always feel guilty when I call in sick- It is so crazy! I blame it on my mom for always forcing me to go to school unless I had a fever.

I'm the same way... I have like 25 sick days built up bc I never call in!
I want to start using them up though, hopefully on days I need to do some wedding stuff.

i know i hate it! but at the same time its like well would you rather I sit here all sick for a few days and then get you sick, bc then id probably get the 'well why did you come in if you were that sick?'

anyways, have come in sick since friday -- still sick, will not be here tomorrow lol

yes and no. I mean i feel bad b/c i know it would mean they're shorhanded for the day but hey-if i don't feel good then i'm staying home. Oh and i never missed one day of school all through elementary school. Now i'm like naaaah i'll take the day off

I'm the same way Actually, my old boss used to MAKE me feel guilty! I would be deathly ill and she'd say 'well, if you CAN'T make it in...' laying on that guilt trip real hard! UGH!!

I'm actually 'not allowed' to call in sick.
Only once in 2.5 years have I called and said sorry but I have a stomach virus I CANNOT make it in.
Generally I am supposed to come in and let them decide if I should be here or not!!

omg i am right there with you. I always feel soo bad when i call out. Plus if Im not really sick i think they can tell because I ramble on and on giving some long drawn out excuse....Youre not the only one!

I feel guilty but my guilt is toward my secretary... she doesnt come into my classroom and teach when I'm absent so I dont know why I feel guilt toward her.

my friend has an awesome gig when calling in sick.
Shes a nurse so when she calls in she calls a call center, and they forward the message on to her floor. She NEVER has to talk to her charge nurse or anything. Lucky biotch.

I always feel guilty, the main reason y I never call in. We were just talking about this at work and they say I should get an award for perfect attendance. I called in once in 3 yrs . That's includes not taking a personal day. My boss is now doing something every 3 months and going to give out bonuses. I want a retroactive one
