NWR: Calling any physical therapists, someone who knows about the body or anyone who has ever tore Ligaments anywhere????

Rewind:

I fell down 3 steps when I was 16 years old and badly tore ligaments in my right ankle. I had to go to physical therapy afterwards...went for a long while but the pain has never completely gone away.

When twisting my ankle inward or outward my ankle kills, as if it's a recent wound, but it's nuts cause it happened almost 10 years ago It ***** especially when dancing and I attempt a move that requires my ankles to have some sort of rotation Do these ligaments ever heal 100% or am I destined to always have pain in my ankle?

ETA: I know my question getting answered is kind of a long shot but I figured any info I might find out would be great...today it was really really bad!
