someplace to go overnight that is not too expensive? I promised my sister we would go someplace overnight for her 20th birthday. We were supposed to go to AC but that fell through and the people that are going cant really afford to spend a lot. We just wanted to go somewhere to relax and go to dinner and stuff. Any suggestions would be great.

My parents go to Cold Spring, NY a lot. It's got a cute little town and I think there's a Fairfield Marriott there?

Not too far, nothing more then 2 hours away. Around 2 something for the room would be ok.

we went to phile for the weekend and stayed outside and it was like $80/night for a hotel and then went to boston and it was fairly inexpensive too

I love the Jersey Shore - Spring Lake has some beautiful B&B's and is not terribly expensive. There are clubs and restaurants nearby as well.

I definitely agree with Mystic and Tarrytown...both really quaint. You could definitely find something there in your range. When are you looking to go?

Sept 6-7.
Mystic is out because we are going up to CT for my bachelorette party two weekends after that and its a bit of a far drive from Staten Island.
