NWR - Can anyone tell me why I can't buy more than 1 pack of Claritin at a time???

NWR - Can anyone tell me why I can't buy more than 1 pack of Claritin at a time???

My allergies are killing me and they will only let me buy 1 pack at a time! What the F&*#!!!!!

cuz lil kids get high off of it

so because there are bad parents in the world who let their children OD on allergy medicine, I have to go back to Target every week and half!?!?!? When did this start, last year I stockpiled it so I could last the entire season!

Why don't you try a prescription allergy medicine? I use Zyrtec and it works wonders. I tried claritin before it went OTC and it did nothing for me. Also the nasal sprays are supposed to be the best thing for allergies. NOt the OTC but the prescription ones.

yes my fh uses zyrtec and likes it alot better than claritin. he also used rhinocort and liked that alot too

I don't know why Claritin would be restricted (the main ingredient is loratadine) but I found out why other things like sudafed are behind the counter and limited to a certain amout per day . . .

One of the provisions of the Combat Meth Act which is apparently included in the included in the Patriot Act would restrict the sale of necessary ingredient to make meth – Amends the Controlled Substances Act to appropriately limit and record the sale of medicines containing pseudoephedrine by placing them behind the pharmacy counter and sets a limit on how much of such medicines one person can buy – 9.0 grams in a month and 3.6 grams in a single day. (see the whole article )

So this explains why I can't buy my GIGANTIC pack of Advil Cold & Sinus at BJs anymore!

Are you talking about OTC claritin??? There shouldn't be any problem with it OTC.

As a parent, I take offense to this statement. If the medication is OTC, kids can buy it on their own, without the parents even knowing about it. I agree, there are SOME parents who just don't care and aren't careful enough with their kids, but not all of us are like that.

ok so i know about how they restrict sudafed, b/c of how they make meth out of it, but how do they know it is you buying it. cant you just go in another day and buy it from a different cashier?

do they take your name or something? since it is OTC, you dont need one of those DEA prescriptions, so how do they keep track of it?

cant you just go to another store?
