NWR: Can someone explain...

Why for the second time our upstairs neighbors dryer was on in the basement with no clothes in it? The other time it happened I had just gotten home from work at 5 am and it was on probably for HOURS. I didn't hear it on earlier. Its like it turns on on its own and were spooked! Or they could be trying to kill us! Does anyone know if a dryer can turn on with a timer or something?

Don't scare me girls! I thought about that theory but once you close the door wouldn't she hear it turn back on before she went upstairs? I don't get it!! I'm calling the complex to report it tomorrow. That's dangerous. Dryers run on gas!

at the laundromat i used to go to, everyone would try to get drier # 15. it used to just run forever w/ just one quarter. no one knew why this happened, it just did. then one day, after some scheduled maintenance, it was only 7 min for a quarter, no unlimited time. the trick w' this machine though - you would put your quarter in, then after 7 min it would stop, then start again in 30 seconds, without extra $$ being put in. it was an electrical or programming glich. maybe the same is going one w/ yours

I am!! I get spooked easily! There has to be a perfectly logical explanation! And as far as it being dangerous, I agree!! I'm calling in the am especially since they call and complain about us every chance they get!
