NWR: Can someone help me with wording 'semi-potluck' invitations???

FH and I are having a Halloween party at our house. Now I don't want to write potluck halloween party because I dont' want people to feel obligated to make or bring something but I would like to somehow word it on the invitates that they are more than welcome to bring their favorite dish (but not obligated). Does that make sense? Help...please...thanks

What about just writing bringing your favorite dish is always welcome but never expected

not those words, but perhaps along those lines? I'm stumped... i've been thinking about it since you posted it
