i think on the internet u can hear it.. not on the radio yet... we listen to 106.7 at the office and i think thats what they said

xmas comes and im fed up with it and by the 20th i want to get over with it...
where are the chanukah songs?! why can tthe jews be all over the place too!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas music. My coworker and I were talking about this today. I'm currently listening to my fave holiday CD, The Peanuts Charlie Brown Christmas. Lucky for me, my coworker says she loves holiday music and says starting the day after Thanksgiving I'm welcome to play it loud enough for her to hear. Ha ha!

My college boyfriend was Jewish and very NON RELIG and anti relig actually. Funniest part was he LOVED Christmas music. I wish my FH did. He only allows me to listen on Christmas Eve and Day. Wah! My Jewish X would make mixed holiday CDs. Ha ha!

As a cultural/religious mutt, I was raised celebrating both Christmas & Chanukah, so I still love both holidays (minus the family arguments that ensued by antisemitic family members that I no longer speak to).
Fall/winter is actually my favorite time of year, and I really love all the Christmas music. I leave on 106.7 too just like most of you. But I definitely hear ya, xXxNovember08xXx!! The only Chanukah song that gets any airplay is Adam Sandler..... and that's not really a song, it's more a parody than anything else. Growing up, the only Chanukah song we sang in elementary school chorus was 'The Chanukah Song'.... you know, 'Oh Chanukah, Oh Chanukah come light the menorah.....' When I taught Pre-K 6 years ago, I found a song called 'Lotsa Latkes' on a holiday CD for kids. But that's about it!
