NWR - car dealer rant

Sorry this is a lil long, but, I just wanted to share with you all the horrible experience I have been having with the Nissan dealer at atlantic auto mall.
They’re business practices completely blow my mind and I would like to warn any of you that are planning on doing business with them to seriously reconsider.
Back in October, I turned in my car that I had leased through them and got a new Nissan. I had turned it in a month early, and the dealer agreed to pay the last month’s payment for me. I have a signed contract with them stating that they would do this. When I got my bill for my final assessment from Nissan, the only thing on it was the last month’s payment. I had ignored the bill for several months b/c I had figured that the dealer would pay it since that’s what the contract says. A few times, my dad has tried to contact them regarding paying this, even bringing the signed paper to them to show them, and they’re response is, we’re not paying, try to make us!
Well, I was telling my FH about this last night, b/c I just got notice that it was going into collections, and he got extremely fired up, to say the least. We called the dealer first thing this morning, and they claimed there is no such agreement in my file (lie), and started to get extremely nasty to us on the phone. They flat out refused to pay what they are obligated to pay. We were completely calm, and they just got worse and worse and then hung up on us. If I ever hung up on one of my customers at work, my head would be on a platter!!! You just don’t do that. Then they proceeded to call my dad, yell and scream at him, tell him he’s stupid and call him a liar! Then they threatened both my dad and my FH that they will charge me an extra 2k, just because they feel like it.
There have been a few more phone calls, each one the dealer acts more and more unprofessional. But, to put an end to it, FH decided that he will just pay the last payment tonight since it’s not huge. I would normally not give in this easy, but if it doesn’t get paid by Friday, it hurts my credit.
So, basically I just needed to vent and get this out to all of you. Please take this as a warning that this dealer has TERRIBLE business practices and treat their customers like garbage.

that is bullshitt.

Just for principle I would sue the crap out of them. And drive around with something on my car that says - 'Nissan at Atlantic Mall SUCCKS' I saw something similar on a VW once - it said 'Donaldson's *****'. Worked - I would never purchase there.

if you have a signed contract, I would make a copy of it, bring it to them, but MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE ORIGINAL.

If they still refuse to honor the agreement, you could contact a lawyer to check on a breach of contract claim, and file a a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If there is a contract, I don't believe they can charge you an additional $2,000 because they feel like it, they cannot materially change the terms of the contract like that.
